error about lapack.so

Postby robotan » Wed Feb 22, 2012 6:07 am

I purchase the R13 and want to test the examples.
I have build the example of 'linkinterface'. but when I execute it, there is the error.
it report that:"can't open the lapackcpu.so". But I have set the right environment variables.
and I can see the file lapackcpu.so in /usr/local/cula/lib64.
So what's the problem?

Code: Select all
./linkInterface
Solving a 8192x4096 system
Allocating Matrices
Querying Workspace
cula error: failed to read 'lapackcpu.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory'
Error: Workspace Query Failed

Make sure that your LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to include /usr/local/cula/lib64

It would be helpful if you ran these three commands:
Code: Select all
echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
ldd linkInterface
file linkInterface

Thank you. The problem was solved. The LD_LIBRARY_PATH was not set properly because I wrote the path in file /etc/ld.so.conf. And it seems this method doesn't work.
So I ran the commands: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/cula/lib64 just now.
The error gone.

If you put it in ld.so.conf, I believe you need to run ldconfig afterwards to refresh the cache.
