CUBLAS FUNCTIONS IN CULA

Postby huge_31 » Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:51 pm

Hi, someone knows if there is a function like “cublasSscal” and “cublasSaxpy” in CULA? I’ve read the docs but there are no references… I need to manipulate some vectors before I use some LAPACK functions, so I tried to use the cublas functions along the cula functions but I always get:

Undefined symbols:
"_cublasSscal", referenced from:
mat_C(int, int, float*, float*)in tmpxft_0000030a_00000000-13_cblas4444.o

This is the command:

nvcc -m64 cblas4444.cu -I/usr/local/cula/include -I/usr/local/cuda/include -L/usr/local/cula/lib64 -L/usr/local/cuda/lib -lcula -lcuda -lcudart -lcublas

I’m using Mac OS X 10.6.7, CULA R12, and Cuda driver 4.0

CULA only has BLAS3 (GEMM, TRSM, SYMM, SYRK, SY2K) functionality. You'll need to use CUBLAS for BLAS1 (SCAL, DOT, etc).
