"culaGetErrorString" undefined

Postby doug25 » Wed Apr 24, 2013 2:03 pm

New user, new CULA install, Programmers Guide example 6.1 compile error:
Code: Select all
error: identifier "culaGetErrorString" is undefined

Code: Select all
grep -r "culaGetErrorString" /usr/local/cula

Confirms it is not there.

Code: Select all
grep -r "culaGetError" /usr/local/cula

Tells me there are plenty of refs to culaGetErrorInfoString() & culaGet ErrorInfo()

So where is culaGetErrorString()?

ubuntu 12.04
cuda 5.0

That's a documentation problem. Its proper name is culaGetStatusString (because our return type is a "status" code and not an "error" code.) In general, the examples/ directory is a better place to use for code segments, since they're regularly verified to compile and work.
