Does Mex by any chance allow rpath commands? Rpath is processed prior to LD_LIBRARY_PATH, so that could work?

I am having the same problem too. it's been a while since this thread started. has anyone figured out any way to get past this?

Are you having troubles because MATLAB's libraries are superceeding CULA's libraries as described in this post? Or some other MATLAB related issue?

Good news MATLAB users!

Using the new link interface from CULA R12, you can now happily use CULA alongside the GPU toolbox in newer versions MATLAB.
