PyCULA – Python bindings for CULA

by John

Louis Theran and Garrett Wright at Temple University have been working hard on some sophisticated Python bindings for CULA, called PyCULA. Our work with Python has been a simple ctypes binding to make direct calls into the CULA interface. Their PyCULA work adds a much more Python-like interface that is compatible with NumPy, which every Python user is likely to be familiar with. The work is in Alpha state at the time but it looks very promising.
